We’d like to remind our residents about our upcoming “National Night Out” event on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 in the cul-de-sac of Hunting Ct. The event will start at 5:30 PM and we hope everyone can make it out! Bring a lawn chair and enjoy some food and fellowship with your neighbors. This event also affords us the opportunity to meet with and thank various neighborhood service providers like the Rock Hill City Police Department, Rock Hill Fire Department, Utilities, and other city service providers.
The POA board would also like to sincerely thank all our residents who helped their neighbors over the past several days during the storm cleanup. We remain thankful that the damage was minimal overall. Many communities, especially those in the mountains were not as fortunate. Please do whatever you can, whenever you can, to help those in need during what will undoubtedly be a long road to recovery.
The city asked us to remind residents that crews will be clearing up debris from the roadways as they can. We encourage you to submit a work order so that the city can deploy resources to more efficiently pickup large yard debris at the curb. Service requests for pick-up must be in by 12:00 PM on Wednesday to ensure pick-up on our weekly service day (Thursday). Remember, storm debris can always be placed in YardCarts for pick-up each week, too. More details are available here.
As all of you are aware, the entrance wall to our neighborhood was significantly impacted by the storm. Despite the damage to the wall, we are happy to report that the low-voltage lighting and sprinkler systems remain intact and should not require extensive repair. We ask for your patience as we work with the adjacent homeowner, insurance adjusters, and contractors to restore the wall and landscaping as soon as possible.
