This past year was another excellent year for our neighborhood! We enjoyed an Ice Cream Social and a National Night Out and sponsored our first-ever Halloween decorating contest. Neighbors continue to make improvements to their homes, which, in turn, enhances the overall beauty of our neighborhood. Sadly, this year, we said goodbyes to Richard Ingram and Floyd Myers, two long-time neighbors who generously shared their time to serve you on our POA board for a number of years.
The Huntington POA serves to maintain the overall appearance of our neighborhood, as well as to create a sense of community. Your annual dues cover the cost of landscaping, utilities, insurance, and social events. Your invoice for your 2024 annual dues is enclosed. Due to the increasing costs to the POA, the Board voted to increase the 2024 dues by $5 for the year.
Please mark your calendar for the Annual Meeting to be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 2 pm in the conference room of the City of Rock Hill’s Office of Neighborhood Services, 150 Johnston Street, Rock Hill, 29730. Before the meeting, you will receive more information regarding the business to be conducted at the meeting.
Nominations for officers or board members are now being accepted. Volunteers fill all positions. Officers serve 1-year terms, and board members serve 2-year terms. Nominations will be taken for all officer positions and one board position (2-year term). If you would like to serve or nominate someone for any of these positions, please submit the person’s name, the position for which they are nominated, and their contact information to Ryan Tinker on or before 5 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2024. Please make sure you have the person’s consent to be nominated.
